Welcome to Production Note #13, and Happy New Year to everyone out there!
2016 will be the year our movie will be released, so it’s going to be a pretty exciting year for all of us here in the production team.
However, we haven’t been doing a lot of work during the holidays, we all really needed a time off.
Just before the holidays, we received the feedback of our first American Test Screener, a director of several movies around The Blues. She was very nice to us and seemed to like the movie a lot. One of our favorite sentences in her feedback was “I think you’ve done a wonderful job of interlacing narrative, song, and interviews and the film held my strong interest throughout.” However, she still saw a lot of room for improvement in many scenes and gave us very much to think about.
And that’s what Lisa and Wolfgang did today – they thought about her comments and suggestions really hard, and they came up with a bunch of changes that Lisa is working on right now.
The new version, it will be v7, should be ready early next week. As always, we can’t wait to show it to our next round of Test Screeners. You’ll hear more of that next week.
